The Nostalgic Picture Library was formed some 25 years ago, primarily to supply the greeting-card market.
Shorelands Books is a comprehensive collection of antiquarian and collectable books including period ephemera.
The acquisition of a large collection of glass negatives, along with other photography and artwork, promoted the revamp and redesign of the library and the products within it.
The collection now consists of a large amount of vintage aviation images taken around Hendon in aviation’s hey-day. The majority is pre WWI.
There is also a wide collection of classic transportation featuring aviation, cars, shipping, trams, buses and even traction engines.
For collectors of marine history there are rare images of J-Class yachting and scenes of period boating and sailing.
The topographical material features numerous views around northwest London and other localities. There’s a shop-front in Pinner and delightful scenes of the Watford Canal, with horse-drawn barges from a time long gone..
We hope that as you peruse the images, you may drift back through the decades from which they come.
It is now considered appropriate to associate Shorelands Books with the library.
