Vengeance by Marshall 1st Edt World War Two Hitler’s Nuclear Weapon

by

MARSHALL

PUBLISHED ; SUTTON

1st EDITION 1995

From 1943 onwards, Hitler and the Nazi propaganda machine poured forth a torrent of warnings to the Allies that vengeance and retribution were imminent. Up until now, historians have assumed that Hitler was referring to the frightening V1 and V2 weapons, both of which carried conventional high-explosive warheads. But this book reveals that a far more lethal vengeance weapon mg > existed — not as a wild fantasy of Hitler’s imagination, but in ~*”é”. the form of a cargo of highly radioactive material carried in a modified V2 rocket.

Designed to be launched from special sites in France, these deadly rockets had the potential to turn Britain into a radioactive wasteland. Time ran out for Hitler, but what happened to the radioactive material that was supposed to be the world’s first nuclear weapon? Was this the special cargo in lead boxes loaded on board the U—234 when she sailed for Japan on 25 March 1945?

Was it the capture of this U-boat and its cargo by a US warship in mid-Atlantic that determined the urgency with which America’s only two atomic bombs were dropped on japan in August 1945? Waiting in Japan for the U-boat that never arrived were the world’s largest aircraft-carrying submarines, commissioned only weeks before — but with plans made in 1941 for the bombing of Los Angeles and San Francisco.

This book raises fundamental questions about the existence of a wartime Nazi nuclear weapon — something always emphatically denied after the war by the Nazi scientists who worked on the V2 rocket programme and by the US Government, whose forces captured virtually all of the documents relating to this programme. Here for the first time are all aspects of the German ‘miracle weapon’ project, brought together in one publication — what it was, what it contained and how it was to be delivered. The author, Philip Henshall, maintains that it is only a matter of time before — and not if— these secrets are revealed to the world.
